How Voltway works

Tap a tile and it turns a quarter step clockwise. Keep turning until every wire connects back to the power core — the moment the last one lands, the whole board lights up. There is no timer and no move limit, so nothing is lost by experimenting.

Frequently asked questions

How many levels are there?

There is no end. Levels are generated from the level number rather than stored in the app, so you can keep going indefinitely. The board grows from 3×3 up to 8×8, which it reaches at level 121 and stays at from there on. The first 30 levels are free; one purchase unlocks the rest.

What does the wraparound board at level 51 mean?

From level 51 onward, wires can connect across opposite edges: a wire leaving through the right edge comes back on the left, and the same applies top to bottom. The app shows a one-time explanation the first time you reach it.

I finished the level but nothing happened.

Every tile must be connected, not just the ones you can see lighting up. A branch that is lit but ends in a loop still leaves other tiles dark. Look for the wire that is still dim — that is where the break is.

Can I go back to a level I already finished?

You cannot pick a specific level in this version. Voltway saves only your current level number. The reset button at the top restarts the level you are on, back to its original scrambled state; to start over from level 1, use "Reset All Levels" in Settings, which asks you to confirm first.

Is my progress backed up?

No. Progress is stored only on your device and is never uploaded. Deleting the app or resetting the device loses it, and we have no way to restore it.

How do I turn off the sound or the vibration?

Open Settings from the gear button at the top of the screen. Haptics, sound effects and music each have their own switch and take effect immediately. Turning all three off makes the game completely silent.

Where does the shared image go?

Nowhere, unless you send it somewhere. The share button draws the card on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet; the app never uploads it and keeps no copy.

What does the purchase unlock, and how do I get it back on a new device?

Levels 1 to 30 are free. One purchase unlocks every level after that, wraparound boards included — a one-off payment, not a subscription, with nothing else to buy. The unlock stays with the Apple Account that bought it, so after reinstalling or on a new device, open Settings and tap "Restore Purchase". If the levels are still locked afterwards, check that you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with.

Does Voltway need an internet connection?

Not to play. Levels are generated on your device and the game itself makes no network requests, so Airplane Mode is fine. Two things do need a connection: the privacy, terms and support links in Settings and About, which open pages on this website, and buying or restoring the level unlock, which goes through the App Store.

Still stuck?

Email us and we will get back to you, or tap Settings → About → Feedback in the app, which fills in your app and iOS version for you. Voltway has no accounts, so please describe the problem in the message itself.
